On my plate – Refried beans and cheddar cheese!

For tonight’s dinner, I put a couple of tablespoons of fat-free refried beans with some shredded cheddar in the oven for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees.  I topped it off with a little bit of Fage Greek Yogurt instead of sour cream, which gave a little boost of protein.  The Greek yogurt was surprisingly good and I will certainly use that in the future instead of sour cream.

Beans are not on my nutritionist -approved diet right now, but I feel better when I eat food as opposed to drinking a shake.  My doctor and patient coordinator (who has the sleeve) said to start “real” food as soon as possible.  I am sticking to the quantity of food they want (2 tablespoons) which doesn’t fill me up like it did last week.
